Why did Free Record Shop start a telephone company?

We at Free Record Shop have sold communication for the best part of 30 years, it has however always been a somewhat one-sided affair. The artist sings (communicates) but you could never answer (sing back in return). We here at the Free Record Shop however have always communicated with our customers.
